Our family started growing Jojoba in the late 1980's. It was kind of a strange thing to do, but in the end it turned out to be a very special adventure.

The reason was simple back then. People were killing sperm whales for the oil that was then sold to cosmetic manufacturers to make a quality moisturizers and skincare products. Spermaceti oil from whales has a very similar molecular similarity tot our natural skin oil (sebum) that protects us from the elements.

It turns out that Jojoba has this very same unique molecular make up as our sebum and whale oil. So once it became evident that Jojoba oil was a sustainable alternate to whale oil, we as a family decided to try hand help the situation by investing in a small Jojoba farm in Southwest Arizona.

This is where Jojoba originated from and where the climate is perfect for the plants. 20 years later we finally had a crop that we could actually produce Jojoba oil from and start on our journey to save the whales and as it turns out, help mankind with a very special solution for skincare.
